STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

STATEMENT OF ACTIVITIES

      Friends of Bolivia, Inc. shall be a non-profit charitable
organization organized for the purpose of providing direct assistance to
Bolivian charitable organizations.  Its founder, Father John McCabe,
M.M., is a Maryknoll priest who served in Bolivia as a missionary for
more than 28 years. He is now retired and wishes to ensure that the
many charitable organizations in Bolivia can continue their fine work in
assisting Bolivians in need of basic human services. Fr. McCabe has
many direct contacts in Bolivia and well knows charitable organizations
that properly operate to serve Bolivians. All administrative work is done
by volunteers. The initial operation is not expected to be large; all
monies raised will be sent to Bolivian organizations directly.
Administrative expenses are not expected to exceed a few hundred
dollars, mainly for print and mail costs.

      Fundraising activities will consist of direct appeals for donations
from individuals. There are many Bolivians living in the area as well
as persons with family ties to Bolivia. Those persons are willing to
donate to assist organizations providing human services in Bolivia. It is
anticipated that most donations will be small, individual donations. In
fact, there are many individuals who are seeking an avenue for
providing such assistance to Bolivians. Friends of Bolivia, Inc. shall
send donations directly to non-profit charitable organizations in Bolivia.
From his many years of experience in the country, Fr. McCabe knows
personally the organizations that operate as non-profit charitable
organizations doing worthwhile work in Bolivia.

      Friends of Bolivia, Inc. shall be operated from Fr. McCabe's home
office. The organizations has no lease, contracts, or solicitation
literature.
