Friends of Bolivia is a non-profit Public Service Organization (also known as non-profit charitable organization) founded in 1990 by Rev. John McCabe and Luisa Lopez.   Volunteers generously donate their time and effort to raise funds for organizations that help the poor, the sick, and the young. There are no paid staff positions.  Volunteers also serve as ambassadors of information about Bolivia.

While the majority of our volunteers are of Bolivian origin, we are an equal opportunity volunteer organization.  We welcome volunteers and will-wishers without discrimination.  Our volunteers come from  varied backgrounds, and are all united by the common goal of trying to make the world a better place to live in.

Friends of Bolivia has a Board of Directors, an Executive Board, and an Advisory Board.

Friends of Bolivia is a 501(c)(3) organization
